Thor Bekkavik has for the last few years had great success with his short and documentary films. His award winning short "Solitaire" premiered at the prestigious Venice Film Festival. His shortfilms have been broadcast in several countries and have participated in numerous international festivals. They are also featured on “Norsk Kort” – a best of compilation DVD series.

His feature documentary “Prøvetid” premiered in october 2008 to great reviews.

Thor Bekkavik is a director with a strong sense of style. He is adept with the language of cinema. His personal and strong visual expressions creates the right mood and atmosphere for his stories.

He writes his own screenplays and documentaries - and also works for Tv, teaches and has an extensive production of commissioned films.
